Gorgeous vintage "Bag by Josef" white micro-bead evening purse, circa 1950s. Josef of Hollywood is one of the most collectible names in vintage evening bags — and this one has all the hallmarks: thousands of tiny white seed beads covering the exterior with an intricate raised floral embroidery design, a stunning mother-of-pearl inlaid frame, and a delicate gold-tone chain handle. Interior is cream satin with two slip pockets and shows light age-appropriate toning. Please note: There is a small area of bead separation on one side edge (shown in photos). Priced accordingly. Gold-tone frame opens wide, clasp functions perfectly. Approximately 9" wide x 7" high. A rare find for the serious collector.
